NHS Sexual Health
I’ve created and led several big campaigns for the NHS through the COI and CCS, including Teenage Pregnancy Awareness, Blood Donation and Flu Awareness. This one, though, was the biggest, most award-winning and most successful. A brave client, who knew that humour can be a Trojan horse that delivers important stuff to otherwise unengaged people. STIs? If you don’t wear a condom it’s a bit of a lottery. This ran across the UK in all media for 3 years.
To start with, we created a series of lottery-style scratchcards and distributed them in pubs, clubs and student unions across the UK.
We added in posters, press ads in nationwide mags and beer mats in pubs.
And we ran a series of fun and powerful radio ads and a TV/online film directed by the great Trevor Robinson. This was one of those campaigns that was a joy to execute in every medium it touched.
